Paid Support
Professional help index
Our long proposed ‘Incident-based Support subscription’ as a “Support included” variant of our legacy ‘Stable Updates subscription’, has now been shelved.
Evolving clarifications of our fiscal host
have moved to a: ’no deliverables subject to a contribution’ stance.
Ergo; we cannot, nor can any other OSE hosted project, associate a contribution to a “… defined benefit, access, or deliverable …”!
This page now intends to provide a community-curated list of fiscally independent Paid support providers.
Stable Channel Support
For installs´ running our
releases ‘Built on’ non EOL openSUSE Leap / Slowroll / Tumbleweed.
Release Candidate (RC)
installs may also be considered at the discretion of the provider.
Our
installers use Stable or RC status ‘rockstor’ packages.
Every provider must be fiscally independent of
The Rockstor Project , and no associated liability is inferred, or should be assumed, by this endeavour on our part. We simply wish to guide folks via a central index, positively or negatively, depending on community feedback.
This arrangement could open our project to Scalping, Scamming, Grifting, or Denial Of Service (DOS) type attacks. I.e. abuse of our
Community Forum or support email. Bad actors could drain all available community resources, human mainly, otherwise offered for free in good faith. Creating an unsustainable, profiteering type arrangement that would ultimately end our project as a whole through greed.
Any suspicion of bad actors at play will result in immediate forum / email / domain bans, as is our normal stance on any unsocial behaviour. If a “Paid Support” provider makes use of any resources under the remit of
The Rockstor Project , they are requested to announce their status as such. We are here to help, but not to be taken advantage of.
Genuine, financially independent Rockstor support providers are most welcome to contact us for a listing here for free. Note that we reserve the right to remove or negatively reference any provider listed. All prospective users of service providers listed here are also responsible for their own choices. We obviously cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of 3rd party entities.
Consider this effort as a ‘good will’ endeavour to provide an index for Rockstor “Paid Support” providers.
